Music Therapy

Music Therapy is an established healthcare profession that uses music to address physical, emotional, cognitive and social needs of individuals of all ages. It is the skillful use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship. This is done by an accredited music therapist.
Music has nonverbal, creative, structural, and emotional qualities. These are used in the therapeutic relationship to facilitate contact, interaction, self-awareness, learning, self-expression, communication, and personal development.
Pat Guobis has a Bachelor and Master Degree in Music and is a Board Certified Music Therapist, including training in Neurological Music Therapy and GIM. Please join us as she explains the importance of this therapy.
